(Sent this email to supporters already, but wanted to post for everyone who supported me that I didn’t have an email for!)
It’s been about a year since I committed to the race and about a month now since I’ve become FULLY FUNDED!! I apologize for how long it’s taken for me to address this MOST exciting news, but the first month of ministry and adjusting to life in South Africa has been beautifully overwhelming and all-consuming. I am so thankful for the work the Lord is doing, and I am working on finding the words (or hearing the words) that will finally articulate what I’ve been learning from Him and how He’s been working here in Jeffrey’s Bay.
But truly, I cannot express how grateful I am for the generosity of all you who supported me. Whether you responded to a support letter, answered an instagram post, or bought a shirt — any amount, big or small, was such a huge blessing.
Not only does your giving pay for my daily necessities that allow me to do stuff like dig trenches for a new classroom at school in Jeffrey’s Bay, or be a counselor at a Christian high school camp that seeks to point people to Christ, but it’s also such a huge testament to the Lords faithfulness in confirming where He wants me. It’s the proclivity of my flesh to question the Lord’s will and where He really wants me, and the most obvious and direct way He’s confirmed His will for me in being here, is with His faithfulness in fundraising. So, thank you so much for supporting me for the next nine (oh my goodness it’s eight now!) months.
Check out my latest blog for an update on the first month, titled “Dear Ella”, and I will continue to be working on blogs to inform you of all the work God is doing here in Jeffrey’s Bay, and beyond.
Yay Sarah go go go and do great things!! We love you!
yessss to being fully funded! thank you Lord!
